Everything you need to know before getting started.

What type of sessions do you offer?

There are a variety of sessions that consist of resistance, functional strength and cardio training.

Every month the workout program changes and we follow a workout split every week.

Low and high impact options are always available.

What equipment do I need?

A mat or soft surface for exercises done on the floor. Dumbbells, booty band and long bands are a bonus for online workouts, however if you do not have them you can get creative with household items. Some sessions we use extra props like stool, chair etc.

Bring water to every session.

For bootcamps please bring a mat for stretches and water.

What if I have an injury?

Please let me know before you begin your session and I can provide specific modifications for you. And please make sure if you have any pain during your workout to please stop and consult with me. Sometimes taking 1 step back will get you 2 steps ahead.

What if I have a limitation?

Everyone is welcome. Please have a conversation with me before so I am aware and can have the correct modifications prepared for you ahead of time.

Do you accept pregnant clients?

Only if you have been cleared by your doctor with written permission.

How do I get access to the live online sessions?

The zoom links are sent out automatically to you when you sign in for a session.

Late arrivals

I ask everyone to please arrive on time. I start the class exactly at the specified time. I always go over what the agenda is for class that day, it is not fair to others for me to re-explain and delay the workout. Please think of others and do your best to arrive on time.

What if I need to leave on online session early?

Please let me know before the session begins so I know that you are ok. You can quietly leave by just giving me a quick wave goodbye.

Does my camera have to be on during the Virtual classes?

Yes. I know this can be an intimidating experience especially when it is new to you, however this is how you are going to get the most out of your workouts with me. If there is incorrect form happening in an exercise it can actually lead to pain or injury. By leaving your camera on it enables me to assist you properly. I want to reassure you that the G.F.W.B. group is very respectful and remember what it was like to be new. You will quickly realize they will be your biggest fans and cheerleaders.

What should I wear?

Wear what you feel most comfortable in. Something that is stretchy and can breathe. T-shirts are good as long as they do not restrict any movement through your shoulders.

Footwear? At home functional strength sessions can be done barefoot. On HIIT days or if you’re attending outdoor bootcamps it is important to wear a cross trainer style shoe that will provide you stability, yet also be great for shock absorption.
